According to a new Polish study “attractiveness isn’t just a matter of good looks, but also the right voice and scent’’.

The review, published in Frontiers in Psychology, highlights the role that odour and verbal tone play in a woman’s decision to pursue a romantic relationship with you. 

“Acoustics and olfactory cues can, separately or in combination, strongly influence the perceived attractiveness of an individual and therefore attitude and actions towards that person,” says lead study author Agata Groyecka from The University of Wrocklaw.

After scouring three decades of literature, the researchers found your voice can communicate a range of personal attributes – dominance, emotional stability and even give the impression that you are more muscular than you look.
