Oyster and Zinc Supplement Improves Reproductive Health | Men's Health Magazine Australia

Take This Supplement To Improve Your Sex Life

Trying to get your date in the mood? No doubt you’ll jump straight to the oysters on the menu.

But now you don’t have to be loaded with cash to indulge in nature’s aphrodisiac. Oyster supplements are available and it might be the perfect opportunity to aid your reproductive health.

“Oysters provide an excellent source of vitamins, minerals and amino acids including iron, zinc, calcium, magnesium, selenium and vitamin B12, which may be low in a western diet,” says naturopath Peta Teuma.

“While oysters are abundant in many nutrients, they are better known for their high zinc content.

“Zinc is necessary for the formation and maturation of spermatoza, while selenium supports normal sperm motility in heathy men and helps to maintain prostate health.”

Previous research has also explored herbal aphrodisiacs as a solution for erectile dysfunction with findings proving positive.

Oyster extract is excellent for men’s reproductive health and endurance. It is a rich source for the amino acid taurine, which is used for cardiac health and nerve transmission,” write the study authors in the Rising Journal For Science And Arts of Androgoly and Urology

“Historically known as an aphrodisiac, flavonoids in oyster meat have been shown to stimulate the reproductive system.”

Like always, before you start any treatment, it’s important to check-in with your GP to see if it’s the right fit for you.
