What Makes This Recipe Special?

Dan: What I love about this Healthy Habit Oatmeal Breakfast Recipe about this day starter is that it comes with three easy recipes in one. After creating it you will also have your answer to a sweet afternoon snack loaded with some super tasty nuts that will take it to the next level, topped with a homemade healthy jam that you can use whenever you have a sweet craving.

What Makes It Healthy?

Dan: This recipe is packed with lots of key healthy ingredients. The spices alone offer a lot of antioxidants to fight off those free radicals and they are also fantastic for your immune system. Coconut oil is rich in Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCTs) which improve the update of T3 a hormone which helps boost your metabolism. It is also responsible for regulating your energy levels and heart rate.

Is It Really That Easy?

Dan: Sure is, this recipe is one of those bang in a pot, give it a stir and throw in a bowl kind of recipes. So if you are a little slow in the morning or coming back from the gym in a hurry this Healthy Habit Oatmeal Breakfast Recipe is for you.

Ingredients

1/2 Cup Oats

1 tsp Coconut oil (optional)

1/2 tsp Cloves, ground

1 tsp Cinnamon, ground

1/2 tsp Cardamon, ground

Pinch of salt

2 Tsp Tahini

2 tsp Honey

1/2 tsp Vanilla extract

1 tsp Chia seeds

1/4 Cup Almond milk

1 Tbsp Raspberry Healthy Jam

Sprinkle Spiced Pecans

Note: You can purchase a chai spice mix, meaning you don’t have to add cloves, cinnamon or cardamon individually. Alternatively you can get a glass jar and make the mix your self. It stores like other spices.

Method

  1. Combine oats with 1/2 a cup of water in a pot on medium heat, cover and bring to a boil before stirring until all water is absorbed.

  2. Fold in your coconut oil, cloves, cinnamon, cardamon, salt and chia seeds followed by your almond milk. After stirring for about a minute drizzle in half of your tahini and honey then some vanilla.

  3. Pour the creamy mixture into a bowl and top with the remaining honey, tahini and colourful jam add texture with some of crunchy spice pecans… Enjoy!
