If you know anything about the fighting scene, you'll know that Conor McGregor doesn't go away easily.
Still reeling from his big money loss to Floyd Mayweather, the irishmen has uncharacteristically stayed out of the spotlight. But now The Independent is suggesting that the 29-year-old could be fighting Nate Diaz as early as December 30.
According to reports, the trilogy fight, that would take place in Las Vegas, is very close to being signed off. The publication is also reporting that close friends and family have already booked flights to the Entertainment Capital of The World.
After the fight of the century with Mayweather, McGregor's manager, Audie Attar told MMAjunkie that Diaz was after a third bout.
"He (Diaz) wants the trilogy," Attar confirmed. "He (McGregor) loves to compete and he's a superb professional athlete. So, there's much more Conor McGregor that everybody will see, and we'll see what's next."
The last time the two met, McGregor won by decision at UFC 202. But that was a rematch after Diaz shocked the world, forcing the 'Notorious' into submission at UFC 196.
