Audi E-tron G

Remember the Audi GT that was first revealed as a concept car at the 2018 LA Auto Show and then later in Avengers: Endgame? Well, it’s here with a pack of power.

Audi’s expensive new high-performance electric sedan, the E-Tron, is set to drive out this Autumn, featuring technology developed for Porsche’s first EV, the Taycan.

Starting at €99,800 (Approx $178,215) with a top-spec RS version starting at €138,200 (Approx $246,787), those who chose to spend the money are set to get the most performance that Audi has squeezed out of an electric car to date: The standard E-Tron GT outputs 350kW of power, or roughly 470 horsepower, while the RS version gives 440kW, or about 590 horsepower. In overboost mode, those numbers jump to 522 horsepower and 637 horsepower, respectively.
According to Audi, the standard E-Tron GT can sprint to 100 kilometres per hour in 4.1 seconds, and the RS version makes that run in 3.3 seconds. Not bad for a car that weighs about 2.3 tonnes.

Both models boast a dual-motor, an all-wheel drive setup, and are powered by a 93kWh battery pack with 85kWh of usable energy (Audi says just five minutes of charging will recover 100 kilometres when hooked up to a high-speed network).
Numbers sound familiar? Well, they should: it’s the exact same setup as the Porsche Taycan.

Despite already being pretty pricey, the base E-Tron GT’s price tag will climb even higher for buyers who want the German automaker’s most advanced tech: Audi’s Matrix LED headlights (available though only in Europe), an optional heads-up display that can project information onto the windshield, all-wheel steering and a Bang & Olufsen sound system. The price can also jump depending on which wheels are fitted or if the buyer opts for a carbon-fibre reinforced roof over the standard glass option. Noise-insulating glass on the side and rear windows are also an option, as are massage seats.

So basically, the E-Tron GT is the most loaded up electric Audi to date. It’s the kind of thing that could properly compete with Tesla’s new refreshed Model S with the option of Porsche Taycan-level performance.

Why The Mind Not Body Is The Key To Being A Baller

There are very few poor athletes in the NBA. Athleticism or skill, often both, are a given at the elite level. But what separates the very best – MJ, LeBron, Steph and Giannis – from the rest, isn’t something you can track by measuring a player’s wingspan or vertical...
