Here's What The Rock’s 6,000 Calorie Cheat Meals Look Like

Celebrities tend to do things a little differently from the rest of us mere mortals, and evidently, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is no exception to this rule. 

We’ve known for a while now that the 48-year-old goes all out when it comes to cheat meals – be it a stack of 12 pancakes, 18 rolls of sushi or 5 pints of ice cream. But until now we weren’t privy to just how calorie-dense these dishes could be.

In an interview on YouTube for Food & Wine, the actor admitted that he schedules his cheat meals once or twice a week – often racking up as much as 5,000-6,000 calories in one hit. In case you’re wondering, this is around three times more than an average human eats in one day.

Sunday cheat meal train 🚂 rolls on down the line. Two fat 8oz double cheeseburgers with bacon and fries. Double shot of my new tequila #Teremana - chilled 🥶🥃👍🏾 I have a big shoot in the gym tomorrow for my next @projectrock @underarmour collection. In a crazy science, these cheat meals tonight should actually help my physique come in with a more fuller pump and vascularity for tomorrow's shoot. “I enjoy sharing,” he said. “I try to make it as fun as possible and a lot of it.”

It goes without saying that his usual food fare is far cleaner (think fish, eggs, steak, chicken, veggies and potatoes.)

Worked very hard in China all week for an amazing @hobbsandshaw press tour in Beijing & Guangzhou. But I knew, 15hrs on the bird got me home to this pot of sushi gold waiting for me at the end of my Hawaii rainbow. Soosh and woosabi so good, it's eaten right out of the containers my friends 🤣🍣🥢💧 #netflixandchill

He also spends loads of time lifting heavy at the gym. We’re talking 3 x 15 reps of one-arm lat pulldowns, 4 x 20 reps of dumbbell shrugs, 4 x 12 reps of hammer high rows, and 3 x 12 reps of dumbbell rows…. And that’s just one workout.
