Pre-Workout Raw Coffee Donuts

Proudly supported by

We get it, pre-workouts can leave you with rashes, feeling anxious, and if timed poorly can even kick in on the way to the gym. So when we come across a pre workout recipe that is not only good for us, but in the form of a donut… how can we not share the goodness!

The caffeine from the coffee coconut infused protein powder is what gives these donuts their pre-workout kick, but you can easily substitute another flavour for a post workout snack or midday protein hit (maybe don’t include the espresso shot either!). To keep the treat as clean as possible, we recommend using a pea protein such as NuZest Clean Lean Protein, making sure you’re getting no added chemicals or sugars.

Give this easy man-proof recipe a try, and thank us later!

GLAZE INGREDIENTS

½ cup raw extra virgin organic cold pressed coconut oil melted*

1 scoops protein

1 tablespoon maple syrup

    Freeze for minimum two hours

  2. GLAZE METHOD

    Whisk together till combined

Let cool for approximately 10 minutes.

While it is cooling pop your frozen donuts out of the mould and put onto a cake cooling rack ready for glazing

When the glaze has thickened, drizzle it slowly over the donuts, one at a time.

Before the glaze solidifies, sprinkle some finely chopped coconut chips on the top so they stick.

Store in freezer for up to two weeks

*to ensure this recipe can be considered raw, don’t heat your coconut oil above 40 degrees Celsius.
