If you own an iPhone, then you likely know something about the constant battle to save precious megabytes of space on your device. You've deleted extraneous apps and Apple Music downloads, unnecessary photos and pointless voice memos, but somehow your storage space still dwindles down to zero. It's a frustrating problem for any user, made only more maddening by the fact that the phone comes out of the store with multiple GBs of space already accounted for.
Thankfully, Apple's latest update may be an answer to your prayers of additional space. iOS 10.3 has a nifty new file format in it to conserve more space and to compress your files more efficiently. As a result, it's opened up gigs of space for tons of iPhone users (this writer, included).
So, for those of you who have grown sick of having to constantly manage your storage, relief has finally arrived.
