The Mountain Just Showed Off His Shredded ‘Half-Thor’ Physique in New Jump Rope Workout Video

The retired strongman has lost over 100 pounds while training as a boxer.

Former World’s Strongest Man winner Hafthor Bjornsson, a.k.a. The Mountain, has undergone a dramatic body transformation in the last year, after retiring from the world of competitive strength sports and embarking on the long road towards a new career as a boxer. It’s a journey that has seen the 10-time Iceland’s Strongest Man completely refocus his training around cardiovascular fitness, mobility and endurance as well as strength.

Bjornsson’s new training regime and diet plan have led to him losing a staggering 110 pounds and getting into the most shredded shape of his life. In a new Instagram video, he shows off his lean, ripped physique—and the jump rope workout that helped him get there.

“My fat % is getting pretty low guys,” he wrote in the caption. “How do you like the new Half-thor?”

Of course, jump rope drills are practically a religion for any boxer worth their salt, and this isn’t the first time Bjornsson has shared a video of his skipping routine. In a November 2021 video, he described how it feels to have achieved so many of his training goals, as well as the toll that some aspects of the transformation have taken on his body.

“Really enjoying all the hard work now and really happy with how my body is responding to all the hard work!” He said. “No pains or injuries bothering me at the moment. Just soreness from super intense training sessions and long runs… My body is definitely getting more and more used to the new training lifestyle.”
