MH Tech Review: Suunto 3 Fitness Tracker

Suunto has joined the competitive fitness tracker ring with a one-of-a-kind smartwatch. At a glance, the Suunto 3 Fitness separates itself in the market with a sleek design that isn’t bulky and fitness-tracker like, it is also water resistant to 30m but the best bits? Well, we are just getting started!

I must admit it took a bit of getting used to it but once I was in the swing of things we were two peas in a pod. The watch helps you create a personalised seven-day training plan based on your fitness level nutting it out to specifics such as duration and intensity in order to smash your goals, but don’t stress if you miss an exercise your Suunto has you covered automatically updating.

It’s not all about building up a sweat the Suunto 3 Fitness tracks how long and how well you slept as well as measuring your stress levels for a “better self.” I am always in the rush in the mornings between the gym, home and work so thankfully having a waterproof tracker was just one less thing to think about.

Thumbs Up

  • Sleek design, it isn’t as bulky as its competitors.
  • A personalised 7-day training program
  • Waterproof to 30m
  • Stress monitor

Thumbs Down

  • Initial set-up is time-consuming and frustrating
  • 5-day battery life

Round-Up

If you are looking for a tracker with all of the tech but without the traditional “smartwatch” look then the Suunto 3 Fitness is for you. The multi-sport mode makes it suitable for just about anyone, whether you are just getting into fitness or a seasoned athlete.
