The company behind the world’s first sex robot, True Companion, told the Sun Online that of all the custom celebrity requests, it is none other than Marilyn Monroe who men ask for the most frequently.

But a Marilyn bot, as well as all other celebrity sexbot requests, come with a caveat: you have to have the permission of the celebrity, or in Monroe’s case, her estate, in order for True Companion to manufacture one in her likeness.

“We cannot do one that models Marilyn Monroe, but we could do a very beautiful blonde with a full figure and so forth,” Douglas Hines, sex robot engineer for True Companion, told the Sun. “Unless, of course, we receive the approval of (her) estate.”

So, if you’re looking to get a custom sex robot, and are willing to pay the US$9,995 price tag, you’ll unfortunately have to rule out a celebrity, unless you’re somehow able to not only get in contact with said celebrity but also convince them to approve the creation of sexbot in their likeness.

We wish you luck with that conversation…
