Anders Nilsson, spokesperson at myvouchercodes, said: “When all the calories from all the treats we eat in a year are added up, it can look pretty shocking – the average biscuit-loving person goes through the equivalent of 389 chocolate digestives a year. But these salty, sugary, fatty foods are treats, and a bit of what you like every so often is just fine.
I was surprised to see chocolate biscuits beating fast food and pastries, which might say something about my own eating habits, but in a famously tea-drinking country perhaps it’s inevitable that a good, dunk-able chocolate biscuit will be the nation’s top indulgence.”
Now, where did we leave those Tim Tams?
