Redee Patch Promises To Stop Red FLush From Alcohol | Men's Health Magazine Australia

You Can Now Wear A Patch That Stops You Going Red From Alcohol

Who doesn’t need a bit of liquid confidence to approach the girl at the bar? Only problem is a couple drinks in and you’re glowing like a lamp.

But a new patch circulating on the ‘gram is promising to relieve embarrassed clubbers of their bright red faces.

Previously, we reported that the condition, which is commonly referred to as ‘Asian glow’, is the result of a deficiency in the ALDH2 enzyme – the enzyme that helps neutralise alcohol in your system.

This new breakthrough, called the Redee patch contains the antioxidant glutathione that sticks to the toxin acetaldehyde that is commonly found in alcohol. During this process, it turns the toxin into a harmless acetate.

Redee is meticulously formulated to provide your body with exactly what it needs to fight the flush. First, Redee is formulated with antioxidants that have been proven to detoxify the nasty culprit of the problem, acetaldehyde. These include glutathione and Vitamin C, which both seek out acetaldehyde and bind to it to get it out of your system,” writes the website.

“Next, Redee helps support liver enzyme activity by supplementing your body with vitamins that are vital to their performance; these include N-Acetyl Cysteine, B-vitamins (B1, B5, B6, and B9), and Alpha-Lipoic Acid. We also included holy basil extract, a natural antihistamine as a last-line of defense. You can think of this as nature’s Pepcid.”

Speaking to the Daily Mail Onlinefounder of Redee, Ryan Lee, says the product is a much better alternative to heartburn medication.

“Since I can remember in college, drinking was always something I never quite understood why I reacted so differently from everyone else,” says Lee.

“My life hack was using Pepcid and that was working. But when it stopped working for me, I realised it was a bigger problem.”

And it seems the internet can’t stop raving about it. Users have taken to social media to show of their ‘before and afters’

The patches are available on the Redee website, where a pack of six costs US$11.99 while a pack of 30 goes for US$39.99, with shipping available to Australia

The makers recommend you “simply apply two patches 30 mins before drinking to your upper body and wear them while you drink.”
