Puma Celebrates Indigenous Culture With New Range

In an awesome gesture, Puma has announced the release of its Dreamtime ‘Borra Grounds’ Range, inspired by indigenous art and culture.

The range, which includes a unique t-shirt, hoodie, scarf and shoes, was designed by indigenous artist, Robert Young.

“The history and importance of the Indigenous culture is something that we at PUMA are honoured to be able to recognise and celebrate with this collection,” says PUMA Oceania General Manger, Pancho Gutstein.

“Being able to support such a talented artist in Robert Young, and help him bring his vision to life and create something that truly represents his culture, while welcoming everyone to share in the stories behind his artwork has been a great learning and a privilege for our team and business.

“Robert’s passion and dedication to sharing his message has inspired us, and we are thrilled to have been able to be part of the journey. He has made us better through the time we have spent together during this process.”

“This range represents not only who I am as an artist, but also as an Indigenous person,” Adds Young.

“I wanted to have something that represents the sanctity of our people, but also something we could come together around. This isn’t just ground breaking; this is history making. I want people to have the opportunity when they wear any part of it; they know the story of the history.”
