It takes a lot of food to keep pro athletes fuelled. IFBB Pro bodybuilder and Nutrex Research Athlete Errol Moore shows exactly just how much food he needs to start the day in this new video.

You may think that Moore loads up on protein shakes, but he actually eats a well-balanced breakfast. And even better, Moore whips breakfast up for himself.

“I do my own cooking,” he says.

A typical breakfast includes 150 milligrams of egg whites, two whole eggs, 150 grams of creamed rice and 30 grams of blueberries.

Instead of relying on liquid egg whites from a carton, the bodybuilder cracks the eggs himself, separates the whites, and scrambles the mixture with two whole eggs.

“I know it’s a hassle,” he says, but explains his trainer prefers he eats fresh food. Moore takes food seriously because he says nutrition is the driving force behind bodybuilding and helps his muscles recover.

Moore discusses that many athletes are now into intermittent fasting or the high-fat, low-carb keto diet. However, he prefers to follow a more-well balanced plan.

“My body responds better to carbohydrates,” he says.

As Moore cooks the eggs, he measures out the creamed rice, blueberries, and water, which he microwaves. Finally, he adds a banana to the mix and is ready to eat. His meal contains 759 calories, 8 grams of fat, 115 grams of carbohydrates, and 27 grams of protein.

“It’s not really gourmet, but it’s probably better than Denny’s,” he says.
