Here’s The Truth Behind Prince Harry’s ‘Second Wedding Ring’

Prince Harry has been wearing his wedding band on his left ring finger (as one often does when they’re married) but there’s another ring on his right ring finger that has a lot of people wondering what’s up.

The ring is bulky and black—way more noticeable than his platinum wedding band. WTF is it?

Surprise: It’s actually a sleep and activity tracker called the Oura Ring, according to People. The handy little accessory IDs various stages of sleep, along with what activity the wearer does during the day. And all the data goes directly to an iPhone app.

Oura also offers “daily feedback to improve your health,” according to its website, and works to help you better understand your body so you can meet your goals. That feedback includes giving users a “sleep score,” “activity score,” and “readiness,” which basically means it tells you how ready you are to tear sh*t up health-wise based on your personal data.

The rings come in two shapes—Balance (which has a slight point on one end) and Heritage, (which is round with a slightly flatter edge on one end). It also comes in silver, black (à la Harry), rose gold, and, if you really want to splash out, something called silver diamond, that features a row of diamonds on the band.

If you’re tempted by a fitness tracker ring but are balking at the price, you could also check out the comparable Motiv Ring. It also tracks sleep and activity, although Oura has some more advanced features. But it’s $100 cheaper (and gets free two-day shipping on Amazon).

My next question though: is this ring courtesy of Meghan? After all, she reportedly convinced Harry to stop smoking and work out more before their wedding. An insider even told People back in June that Harry is in the best shape of his life thanks to his S.O. “Meghan is a beautiful influence on Harry,” the insider said. “They both worked hard to be the healthiest they could be before they got married.”
