Our New Podcast ‘Ask Men’s Health’ is Officially Live

Yeah, yeah, we know, everyone has a podcast these days. But our one is different. No long-winded ramblings, no hosts enjoying the sound of their own voices, just important, useful advice you can put into practice right away. Each episode will be based on a specific topic – from fitness to mental health, nutrition and everything in between – and our hosts will answer the most pressing reader questions in the most short, sharp, succinct manner possible. Think of it as your PT, your life coach and best mate all rolled into one.

To kick things off we thought we’d keep things simple and tackle a topic close to all of our hearts: fitness. From all the great questions submitted by readers, we settled on the two we thought most pertinent right now: should I be doing fasted cardio? and, Should my knees pass over my toes when I squat?

Host Christopher Riley alongside editor Scott Henderson take a look at fasted cardio first. It’s become a go-to for many people hoping to burn fat, but does the science back it up? Meanwhile, ‘knees over toes’ has become a popular cue for PTs over the past few decades, with people divided on whether it’s safe or not. Rather than sifting through the studies yourself, we’ve done the hard graft for you.

Want to know the answer? Well, have a listen and find out! (We said we’d help you, not do all the work for you.) With the episode 15 minutes long you can listen during your warm up, on the way home, or while doing the dishes. It doesn’t matter, just  do yourself a favour and give it a listen.

Next week, we’ll be taking questions on mental health so be sure to submit your ideas to our Instagram account @MensHealthAu
