Hanging Lavender Over Shower Head Could Help You Sleep | Men's Health Magazine Australia

This Simple Shower Hack Could Help You Sleep Better At Night

We’re always on board trying out new hacks around the house, especially when they make a standard shower feel like a trip to the spa. Which is why we’re off to track down sprigs of eucalyptus right now because, according to Pinterest, hanging the stuff in your bathroom is the next big thing.

The idea is simple: gather the fresh herbs and tie the stems together, then secure it behind the shower head and out of the direct stream of water.

It’s not all about the look though, it also boasts a heap of health benefits.

The steam (and heat) releases the essential oils in the herbs, which helps to fight brain fog and stress, acts as a decongestant, boosts the immune system and wakes you up in the morning too. And for the night-time showers among us, swap the eucalyptus for dried lavender (it’s an epic relaxant.)

If you don’t have access to the real stuff (and foraging for it isn’t your jam), a few drops of essential oils in a dish will also work a treat.
