Henry Cavill Is Looking Even More Jacked In Role For ‘The Witcher’

To play a superhero character, most actors find themselves bulking up or getting in shape. But for Henry Cavill, it seems most of the hard work was done for his latest role in The Witcher

The 35-year-old Brit, whose breakthrough role came playing Superman in Man of Steel, has taken his training to a new level in the upcoming Netflix series.

In a post shared by strength and conditioning coach Dave Rienzi ( the man also responsible for The Rock’s physique in Fast and Furious spinoff Hobbs and Shaw) , Cavill can be seen with his arms looking bigger then usual. And according to Rienzi, the Justice League star has been putting in the hard yards to get there.

“Incredibly productive trip to Budapest to prep and train @HenryCavill for key scenes in the upcoming @Netflixseries #TheWitcher,” says Rienzi.

“His choice to take things to the next level is no small task as he’s currently working a gruelling shoot schedule working French hours (12+ hour days – no lunch breaks) plus an additional 2 hours for hair and make up prep. His 110% commitment is no joke.”

It’s never been a secret that Cavill has taken staying in shape seriously. In mid-2018, we reported how Cavill kept his physique up for his role in Mission Impossible: Fallout: Jiu-Jitsu.

In an Instagram post at the time, Cavill revealed that the martial art sport was the fitness hack he sweared by.

“Jiu-Jitsu has a way of kicking your arse and making you love it for the lessons you learned,” Cavill wrote.

“To play a superhero character, most actors find themselves bulking up or getting in shape. But for Henry Cavill, it seems most of the hard work was done for his latest role in The Witcher.”

If there’s anyone you want to emulate when it comes to fitness, Cavill is your man.
