With training limited to his personal space, like many other athletes, Thor has kitted out his crib to ensure that he doesn’t lose any of the strength he’s built over the last decade.

After dusting off a few weighted lunges in the hallway and living room, he moves on to his decked out garage.

“First time squatting here,” he says, the camera facing his new rack.

“We’re able to do so much on this rack. Squatting, bench press, incline press… even yesterday we did rows.”

After managing 20kg on the bar, his cameraman jokes, ““And that ladies and gentlemen is a house record.”

After warming up, he reaches a 253kg squat for 3 reps before moving onto Romanian deadlifts – a 100kg effort.

The workout is relatively light and Bjornsson seems more preoccupied with his next task: gaming.

“I just finished training… now, we play,” Bjornsson says.

His setup is as impressive as his weights room – multiple monitors and a pair of headphones to match.

“I wouldn’t say I’m a complete amateur,” he says.

Finally, he shows off his feed which includes two pieces of lamb fit for a king. Despite the snowfall outside, he’s ready to turn the grill on.

“I just finished training, I have rice ready, and now we are going to grill some Icelandic lamb,” he says.

“This is how we get strong.”
