According To A Survey Among Teens, Crocs Are Making A Comeback | Men's Health Magazine Australia

The Ugly Footwear Trend Making A Huge Comeback

Earlier this year we were rocked by the news that Crocs would be closing down factories. And that would have hit teens extremely hard, finds a new study.

In new research conducted by Piper Jaffray, findings showed that the popularity of crocs among Gen Z has skyrocketed.

According to the survey, featuring 8600 teens with an average age of 16 years, crocs have returned to fashion, rising to 13th spot on the list of popular footwear brands among teens. Last year, they came in at 27.

“The most notable brand gainers have been Vans, Adidas, Lululemon and, surprisingly, Crocs,” the report reads.

Previously, we reported the closure of factories which led many to believe the brand would soon follow suit. But the company was quick to deny any suggest suggestion.

“Quite the contrary; Crocs will continue to innovate, design and produce the most comfortable shoes on the planet,” said a spokesperson for the brand at the time.

“We’re extremely grateful — but not surprised — that our passionate fans are rallying around the brand today. Our future is bright, bold and colourful.”
