Peaky Blinders star Cillian Murphy has sky-rocketed into the fourth-favourite position to play the famous secret service agent, according to betting site oddschecker.
The 42-year-old first burst onto the scene, playing the villain Scarecrow in the Batman franchise nearly 15 years ago.
He's also featured in Inception and Dunkirk, all directed by Christopher Nolan
Ahead of the Irish actor is Tom Hiddleston, Bodyguard star Richard Madden and James Norton.
Daniel Craig, who has appeared in no less than five Bond movies, made the character his own by stacking on muscle for the role. While Murphy may have charm like Craig's predecessors, unfortunately he may need to spend a lot of time in the gym to match the Brit's physique.
A representative from UK betting agency Coral told the mirror that fans are confident.
"Everybody is getting excited about the new series of Peaky Blinders and it seems as though [gamblers] are no different," said Coral's Harry Aitkenhead
"We've been inundated with bets lately on Murphy landing the role as the next James Bond and he's certainly a leading candidate now."
Guess we'll just have to wait and find out.
