Hemsworth is slated to play Hulk Hogan in an upcoming biopic, according to an exclusive report by The Hollywood Reporter. The film about the famous wrestler's life will be directed by Todd Phillips and written by Scott Silver—the same duo behind 2019's The Joker.
THR reports that production is working out a deal with Netflix, so Hulkmaniacs can look forward to streaming this baby from the comfort of their homes.
Hulk Hogan—real name Terry Bollea—is the iconic former professional wrestler known for catchphrases like "Eat your vitamins and say your prayers" and "Hulkmania is running wild." A 12-time world champion in the World Wrestling Federation (now WWE) and World Championship Wrestling, he's also famous for his signature leg drop, which entailed jumping onto an opponent and landing with his leg on their face, like this:

In recent years, Hogan's name has come up less in the context of wrestling, and more in the context of his sex tape scandal and an ensuing lawsuit with the website Gawker. But according to THR:
The biopic will not delve into those years or attempt to encompass an entire life. Instead sources say it will focus on Hogan’s rise and is described as an origin story of the Hulkster and Hulkamania."
THR didn't specify a release date for the Hogan biopic, but we're already curious to see how Hemsworth looks when he swaps his Thor helmet for Hogan's signature bandana and blonde locks. Hey, Hemsworth: time to grow out that 'stache again.
