Bodybuilding legend Arnold Schwarzenegger joined the chorus in a series of heartwarming new videos, accompanied by his dog Cherry and his donkeys, Whiskey and Lulu.

“Wash your hands,” he captioned the first video.

“I tried to do a hand-washing tutorial for Cherry but I think you guys will pay more attention. Be safe. Wash your hands. Listen to scientists and experts, not foreheads. Together, we can slow this down and protect each other. #COVID19

The IGTV shows Arnie giving his doggo a quick tutorial on how to effectively sanitise before calling on fans to do the same.

Just days later, he released a new clip, but this time the Terminator star encouraged followers to stay indoors and enjoy the company of loved ones such as his animal friends.

“Stay at home,” he captioned the post.

‪”Stay at home as much as possible. Listen to the experts, ignore the morons (foreheads). We will get through this together,‬” he says in the video.

“The important thing is that you stay at home…especially for someone who’s 72 years old, after your 65 you’re not allowed out of the house in California anymore. So we stay home and we eat here.”

If you’re preparing to bunker down, just remember to be conscious of what you’re buying

It’s important to be clear that there are NO current recommendations advising that we prepare for isolation by excess buying if we’ve no reason to – unless you’ve got a risk factor for transmission that means you should self isolate, we’re not being told to isolate or prepare ourselves (other than avoidance of large public gatherings),” Dr. Kennedy previously told us.

“For those of us going about our day to day without meeting isolation criteria or related risks, let’s leave the toilet paper alone and help ensure that supplies on supermarket shelves are there for those who need them.”

Fortunately, we’ve put together a bit of a guide if you’re building up a stockpile. You can check it out here
