Adidas Calls In The Big Guns Ahead Of The FIFA World Cup

We’re only a week out from sporting’s (second) biggest spectacle, and now the big brands are letting loose their big-budget marketing campaigns. Furthering their successful attempts to merge fashion and sport, Adidas has released their FIFA World Cup inspired mini-clip, and it calls upon the entire three-stripe family.

The ad features designers, sports stars, musicians and models, all of whom have formed an integral part of the Adidas story of recent years. While the highlight is obviously their soccer kit, the campaign continues to build on the streetwear made famous by their Adidas Originals collection.

The ad features football superstars David Beckham, Lionel Messi, Paul Pogba, Gabriel Jesus, Mohamed Salah, Mesut Ozil, and Luis Suarez, all bringing their a-game to the commentary of A$AP Ferg. Also making appearances are long time Adidas collaborator Pharrell Williams, rapper Stormzy, and Victoria’s Secret alum Karlie Kloss. Did we miss any cameos? Probably, this thing is a beast!

The new ‘Create The Answer’ campaign comes fresh off the (well-cushioned) heels of Adidas’s World Cup X 18+ TR shoe launch. The shoes, launched in celebration of the Cup, feature the trademark BOOST sole and a football boot-like upper mesh, however they’re definitely not designed to go off-road, if the yellow and blue colourways are anything to go by.
