23 Battle Rope Moves That Blast Fat

For a high-velocity workout that absolutely destroys fat, just grab battling ropes.

Making a variety of “waves” with these heavy, long ropes provides a killer low-impact cardio workout. And since your shoulder, arms, and core will spend a prolonged time under tension, you’ll build muscle, power, endurance, and mental toughness.

Watch the video above for 23 battle rope moves that burn belly fat from Men’s Health fitness director BJ Gaddour. When performing standing variations, bend at your ankles, knees, and hips. Keep your back flat during every single rep.

Gaddour recommends going all-out for 20 seconds, making as many waves as possible, and then resting for 40 seconds. Do this for 10 to 20 minutes straight to keep the intensity high and to get an amazing aerobic and anaerobic workout.
